NewsMax, which supports Gingrich, is covering AS NEWS a Gingrich campaign critique of Mitt Romney’s finances which might leave some crying “foul ball!”
The piece seems to suggest that questions are being raised about how Romney accounts for his taxes, raising “suspicion” about his use of overseas accounts. The article asks out loud why it would be necessary to have any overseas account and seems to claim that anyone who has an overseas account must be up to no good.
Having an overseas account, however, can be useful for international transactions and is a legitimate way to avoid what most freedom seeking Americans would consider to be onerous taxes at home.
The article is not necessarily much different than the lies and smears being directed at Gingrich, but it may not move the needle for him in the polls.
