Commentary: Obama’s speech to the United Auto Workers (UAW) was not a campaign speech says White House Press Secretary Jay Carney, even though the speech was laden with campaign-y overtones such as “as long as you have got an ounce of fight left in you, I’ll have a ton of fight left in me,” and “We are going to keep on fighting to make our economy stronger.” Sounds to me like he is trying to get UAW to “fight” with him in his goal for reelection. – excerpt below
