Disney Channel Halloween 2011 schedule released-How does this affect a
Christian Family?
In our house we have a 5 and 7 year old. Disney Channel is rarely watched during the month of October due to its semi-scary and pro-Halloween agenda.
As a Christian Family we do not promote Halloween or Fear and I believe fear is a big part of Halloween.
Disney Channel has a heavily laid Halloween Schedule everything from Monster Movie Marathons to Sitcoms created to bring a little bit of “Halloween fun and fear” into kids.
My advice would be to steer clear of Disney during the month of October.
I tried watching the Disney Channel Original Movie ‘Halloweentown” and its way too scary for kids.
What is a good alternative? Check out this movie called, “The Lamp” that promotes Jesus over magic and fear.
